NEW!!! – Myopia-control lenses for kids

If you notice your child becoming increasingly nearsighted at a rapid pace, myopia-control lenses are a safe and child-friendly solution.

Be sure to discuss it with your ophthalmologist and ask for a prescription.

Single-vision lenses

With unifocal glasses, your vision is corrected for either distance or near vision only.

Some people know this type of progressive lens better as ‘ordinary’ glasses. Glasses intended solely for close-up vision, on the other hand, are called ‘reading glasses’.

At New Optics, you will find the best lenses in the range.

Digital lenses

Are you in your twenties, thirties, or early forties? And are you an avid user of your mobile phone or tablet? Then you surely know that these devices can put a significant strain on your eyes, potentially leading to headaches, neck pain, or eye irritation. That is why digital lenses feature a zone at the bottom with a slight boost in power. They allow you to see clearly at a distance—just like standard single-vision glasses—while also enabling you to read your phone comfortably without having to strain your eyes to focus.

If you want to know whether digital lenses are right for you, be sure to make an appointment!

Multifocal lenses

New Optics’ flagship offering is its ‘custom-made’ lenses. They are easy to get used to and feature a wide reading zone. This makes reading enjoyable again, driving safer, and working less tiring. At New Optics, you are in the hands of multifocal lens specialists. Thanks to their extensive expertise and high-tech equipment, the New Optics team ensures you get the perfect pair of multifocal glasses.

That is why New Optics confidently guarantees that you will enjoy optimal vision with your multifocal glasses!

Do you need advice, or perhaps you’d like to ask something? The entire New Optics team is here for you!

The warranty covers the replacement of lenses if necessary. Refunds are not possible.

Computer lenses

Do you notice your eyes getting tired from frequently switching between short distances—such as reading or playing a musical instrument—and intermediate distances, like your computer screen or sheet music? While young eyes handle these adjustments with ease, that isn’t the case for everyone. If you wear multifocal lenses, you might try adjusting your posture to compensate for this issue—inevitably resulting in neck and shoulder pain…

Fortunately, computer lenses are available these days.
They come in various forms. For instance, there are lenses that allow you to see up to 2 meters away at the top—ideal for your computer screen—or even up to 4 meters, which is perfect if you frequently attend meetings and presentations. In specific cases, they can be precisely tailored to the viewing distance you require. What they all have in common is a reading section at the bottom.

So you can see clearly from 30 cm to about 4 meters, without any transitions. Ideal for your work or hobbies!

Coatings

Durable coating

All lenses feature a hardening coating that provides better protection against scratches and dirt. In addition, all lenses have an anti-reflective coating that blocks annoying reflections. In short, at New Optics, you are guaranteed quality.

Blue light filter

Screens—such as those on computers, TVs, and mobile phones—emit high-energy light (400–480 nm). This can lead to issues like dry eyes, eye strain, headaches, or sleep problems. Especially given our increasing screen usage, it is wise to protect your eyes with a blue light filter. This coating blocks the ‘harmful’ blue light from your screen, thereby soothing your eyes.

In addition, it is a good idea to follow the 20-20-2 rule. After 20 minutes in front of your screen, look into the distance for 20 seconds. Combine this with spending two hours a day looking around outdoors. Your eyes will thank you!

DriveSafe

Adverse weather conditions and low light can sometimes make it difficult to see clearly while driving. DriveSafe lenses enhance contrast in poor weather and filter out the xenon light from oncoming traffic. As a result, you enjoy better visibility and can judge distances more accurately in challenging conditions such as rain, fog, or snow. This makes driving much more pleasant—and significantly safer.

UV-filter

UV radiation is always present—all year round, even on cloudy days. While UV radiation has certain positive effects on humans, such as triggering Vitamin D production through skin exposure, prolonged exposure also carries serious health risks. Most of us know that UV radiation can damage the skin, but exposure to UV light can also harm the eyes and surrounding tissue. That is why New Optics offers lenses that provide protection against UV radiation up to 400 nm.

Photochromic lenses

Photochromic lenses react to UV rays from sunlight, shifting in intensity to become lighter or darker. They are clear indoors and darken outdoors. They come in various tints: gray, brown, green, and blue.

Prescription sunglasses

A final coating option is a tinted coating. Tinted lenses come in a solid shade—gray, green, black, brown, you name it. They can also be uniformly colored or feature a gradient tint (darker at the top and lighter at the bottom).

With plastic lenses, any lens can become a sun lens—regardless of your prescription, whether single-vision or multifocal! By the way, did you know that at New Optics, you get one lens for free when you buy a complete pair of prescription sunglasses with tinted lenses? Come and check out the range at New Optics soon!

Maintenance

Clean your lenses using lens spray and a microfiber cloth. Do not use paper tissues, as they can cause scratches. Alternatively, you can clean your glasses with lukewarm water and, if desired, a mild soap or dishwashing liquid—just make sure the product contains no abrasives or citric acid. Rinse the lenses and frames thoroughly afterwards to prevent any residue film from remaining, then dry them with a microfiber cloth. Don’t forget to wash your cleaning cloth regularly, without using fabric softener; this helps avoid streaks.

With these tips, you can enjoy your glasses for as long as possible:

1. Use both hands to put on and take off your glasses. That way, you spare the temples.

2. Never lay your glasses down on the lenses. This prevents scratches and other damage.

3.If you are not using your glasses for a while, store them safely in a case.

4. Protect your glasses from extreme heat, such as your car’s dashboard or a sauna.

5. Avoid contact with corrosive products such as acetone, glue, ether, ammonia, etc.

6. Has your frame been bent by a hard knock? Feel free to drop by New Optics to have it adjusted.

7. Drop by occasionally for a minor service so that any defects can be fixed in time.

Fourth lens free

In addition to your new glasses, would you also like reading glasses, sports glasses, driving glasses, computer glasses, a spare pair, glasses with photochromic lenses, a completely different look, or a second pair of multifocal glasses?

Then New Optics is the place to be! If you opt for a second pair of glasses within six months, you get a 50% discount on the second set of lenses. In several European countries, it is now mandatory to keep a spare pair of glasses in your car. It makes sense: good vision isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. And if you can, why not own multiple pairs? After all, you don’t wear the same shoes every day; in fact, you switch shoes depending on the activity. Well, the same applies to glasses—you need specific eyewear depending on what you’re doing.

This discount is applied to the cheapest pair within the same spectacle lens brand.
A fitting fee of €50.00 is charged for fitting lenses into your own frames.
