Although this decree is being challenged, it is currently in force. New Optics must therefore comply with it.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-22ef0fa ); font-size: 1.1em;\"> <\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">It is best to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist as soon as possible, as waiting times are increasing. You should also schedule a follow-up appointment within the timeframes listed below. Otherwise, if you lose your glasses or your prescription changes, you risk having to wait a long time before getting sorted out.  <\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">The following age limits and timeframes must be observed:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: left;\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Under 16 years of age<\/span>: Only an ophthalmologist is permitted to perform eye examinations.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Between 16 and 45 years of age<\/span>: New Optics may measure your eyes provided that you were seen by an ophthalmologist no more than 10 years ago.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Between 45 and 65 years of age<\/span>: New Optics may measure your eyes provided that you were seen by an ophthalmologist no more than 3 years ago.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Over 65 years of age<\/span>: New Optics may measure your eyes provided that you were seen by an ophthalmologist no more than 2 years ago.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: left;\">The timeframe may be adjusted by the ophthalmologist, depending on the pathology.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Do you have lenses with a ground-in prism?
